Need Rapid Prototyping with quick
turn around on design models big or small? Stereolithography
Apparatus (SLA) is the state-of-the-art solution.
A part in hand can be as simple as a file transfer.
Utilizing Stereolithography, Acu-Cast Technologies has the
ability of turning your idea into a physical model through
Rapid Prototyping. SLA models are an excellent investment
and can optimize time and money at every stage of the
production cycle. Rapid Prototyping of conceptual models or
master patterns have never been faster, easier, or more
economical.
How the SLA process works
Using Acu-Cast Technologies’ in-house Stereolithography
Apparatus (SLA) and your furnished STL files, a Rapid
Prototype of your design can be made by translating a CAD
file into a surface model made up of thousands of small
triangles. The file is then sliced into many layers like a
stack of cards. These files are loaded into an SLA machine
which drives the motion of a laser. The laser causes the
liquid resin to cure to a solid form and further layers are
cured and connected by self-fusing to the previous layers.
When the Stereolithography process is complete, the models
are lifted out of the machine and placed in a PCA for
additional curing that is required before the models are
ready for use.
